Six hurt in motor mishaps

Imphal, June 18: Six persons were admitted to RIMS Hospital following separate motor accidents at Lilong and Kwakeithel areas today.

In the first mishap, which occurred at lilong Chaobok Lamkhai at around 8.20 am, two boys suffered leg and hand fractures when the cycle borne victims were rammed by a speeding jeep.

The injured who are undergoing treatment at RIMS are identified as Md Mastakim (16) and Md Majurlam - both from Ushoipokpi.

The Kwakeithel Akham Leikai accident took place at around 5 pm when two youths on a bicycle returning home from private tuition collided with Honda Activa riders who were also injured.

Identifying the injured cyclists as Bishan Bihari (20) and Agu Bihari from Paona bazar and the motorists as Wahengbam Indrakumar (20) of Wangoi and Ningthoukhongjam Joinesh (17) of Churachandpur.
