Imphal, March 28:
Holder Assam retained the title of the second Dr T Ao Doner football tournament for North East, 2004.In the final play played today at the main stadium, Khuman Lampak, Imphal Assam recaptured the title defeating host Manipur 4-3 in tie-breaker.
Both the team were not able to score any goal even in the 30 minutes extra time after six each players tried their last chance through penalty kick in which Assam scored 4 while Manipur only managed to score 3 goals.
Besides the runner's up the title Manipur team goal keeper H Naren and defender L Shyamananda were declared as best goalkeeper and best defender of the tournament while best attacker title was goes to Birab Mushahary of Assam.
