The state is preparing for the smooth conduct of the High School leaving examinations scheduled to begin on March 29.It will conclude on April 12.The KYKL has given strict instructions to the students not to use unfair means failing which they will be expelled for five years.
Those trying to help the students have also been advised to desist from any work which may be considered unfair.
All the Officer in charge and invigilators will be asked to take voluntary retirement by the KYKL as a part of the Operation New Kangleipak if they are helping the students in using unfair means.
In view of the examination the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur Chairman S Nabachandra today said a total of 27207 students will be appearing.
This will be the first major examination in their life, which will decide the fate of their life.
Ail have been asked not to call blockade, bandh during the examinations.
The students are also advised to perform their duties well.
Meanwhile the Commissioner Education (S) P Bharat Singh said it has come to the notice of the government that the members of the All Manipur government higher secondary part time lecturers association have decided to abstain from Class XI promotion examination to be held from March 29 to April 15 in view of non extension of their service tenure from the date of last extension.
The state government is actively considering the extension of the term of their engagement and they are informed to participate in the smooth conduct of the ensuing examination in the interest of the students in particular and in public interest.
The All Manipur Students' Union in a press release issued today asked all the candidates of HSLC examination being started from March 29 to give up the hope of using unfair means during the examination.
The union also urged not to cause fear, any problem to the candidates in the name of quality education.
