Extending solidarity to the bereaved families of Thokchom Rabina of Lamdeng Khunou and Chungkham Sanjit of Khurai Sajor Leikai who were killed in the BT Road firing incident of July 23, MLA RK Anand visited the bereaved families and shared their painful moments today.
Interacting with the mourning family members of Rabina, RK Anand conveyed about the pressure exerted on Government to investigate into the incident so that facts and circumstances of the killing can be established.
Empathising with the people who have been victimised by the daily incidents of violence and crime and compelled to stage wakat meephams on road sides if as there is no one to listen to their complaints and takes of woes, MLA RK Anand assured that he would help the victimised people with all the power and strength at his disposal.
From his one month's salary, MLA RK Anand gave Rs 5000 each to the two bereaved families.
The MLA also extended monetary assistance of Rs 2000 each to Gitarani, Keshorani, Mangal Golmei and Pangabam who are, under-going, treat sustained bullet injuries in the July 23 firing incident.
