SSU, ESU, AMOFA and TRAU edged past their respective opponents while hosts YWC, Thambalkhong and MPSC played out a goalless in the second leg matches of the first Manipur State League football tournament at different venues today.
At Manipur University ground hosts SSU, Singjamei came from a goal down to upstage NEROCA, Shangakpham 2-1 with R Banny Chiru firing both the home team's goals in the 46th and 75th minutes.
Ramesh scored for the visitors in the 45th minute.
In another tie, home side ESU of Wangkhei downed a spirited PYC, Phoudel 3-2 with Nilakanta (5th), M Somochandra (9th) and Y Robindro (60th) ruffling the visitors' net while L Indramani and Md Riyaz khan struck for PYC in the 22nd and 26th minutes respectively.
The match between AMOFA, Moirang and RACC, Rengkai at Moirang Multi-Purpose Higher Secondary School was also decided by a narrow margin which the former eventually won through an M Bijen goal in the 11th minute.
At Kakching, K Duidang's 41st minute opener was consolidated by Lunminlal's 86th minute penalty award conversion as visitors TRAU humbled KFC 2-0.
