Imphal, March 19:
Self proclaimed PULF chairman Umar Farooq and his accomplices namely MI Khan and Chandro alias Kishorejit have all been expelled from the outfit for their anti-party activities, claimed Foiba, commander of PULF's AK, BK and SK battalions.
Speaking to reporters today at a place in Thoubal district, commander Foiba warned that these renegades who attempted to mislead people by claiming to have convened a general assembly should surrender to the outfit within five days failing which PULF would initiate actions against them and their families.
He further claimed that all the cadres are still with their president Azad and all the documents with the president's signature are still in force.
Maintaining that the decision adopted by the party leadership would be final even if they give in, Foiba cautioned people against the renegades and not to trust the trio.
On the other hand, the commander warned ex-MLA of Wabgai assembly constituency Abdul Salam and his workers, who allegedly supported Farooq, MI Khan and Kishorejit not to maintain any relationship whatsoever with the trio.
Disclosing that Abdul Salam offered Rs 23 lakhs to PULF to work for him in the 9th Assembly elections, Foiba said that the ex-MLA was helped by the renegades after PULF turned down the offer.
Instead of hurling charges and counter charges through media, Foiba asked them to come and talk the matter face to face.
PULF salutes, warns : While condemning the killing of its cadre Md Ithem alias Imran Lasker (35) by contract killers of the dismissed cadre Azad in the intervening night of March 14 and 15, PULF has extended revolutionary salute to the slain cadre.
The outfit prayed that the departed soul may rest in peace in the heavenly abode besides observing two minutes' silence to pay obeisance to the slain cadre, conveyed a statement issued by Md Belan Khan, publicity secretary of PULF.
After his dismissal from the outfit for his anti-party, anti-people activities, Azad in association with 4/5 accomplices has been scheming to corrupt PULF cadres and to lure them towards his reactionary path.
It further warned all the accomplices of Azad who have been trying to conceal the truth for the sake of just a few amount of money that they would be given exemplary punishment.
Comparing the warning of dismissed Azad to a threat of a paper tiger, army chief of the outfit Deny said that he was associated with Azad for more than 10 years.
If Azad could not realise that the days of dictatorship are over, he should face the consequences, Deny cautioned.
Asserting that all the wrong-doings of Azad have been known to the people, Deny iterated that all reformative actions would be initiated in consultation with people.
