Imphal, October 10:
Hordes of officials of Asian Football Confederation (AFC) will decend on Imphal to inaugurate the State Level League slated to be kick off from November 4 at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium.
The officials includes AFC general secretary Peter Velappan, AFC Director Brendon John Menton, AFC development officers Imtiaz Ur Rehmand, Swarup Thate and Jita Singh.
This was diclosed by AMFA secretary at the concluding function of 15-days AFC Coaching course held at Khuman Lampak.
Under the Vision Asia Project, Manipur was selected as the project site besides Delhi under Vision India project to develop football under the initiatives of AFC.
Twelve teams were selected from the State for participating in the State Level league with two coaches each from the participating teams for undergoing AFC coaching course.
The closing function was graced by Th Birendra, IAS, Commissioner YAS, A Santoshkumar, president AMFA and L Ranjit Roy, secretary AMFA as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Ranjit added that besides the officials from AFC, selected officials from AIFF will also arrive at the State with the AFC officials.
