Imphal, August 17:
Demanding unconditional release of the four AMADA activists arrested by police, nine former drug abusers today staged a protest march in front of the Chief Minister's official residence today.
Shouting slogans like "Support AMADA to save the society from drugs", "Release AMADA activists without any condition" etc, the protesters marched towards the gate of the Chief Minister's residence but they were blocked by police.
The protesters were baton charged and driven away.
Police pulled up all the protesters before releasing them later.
