Imphal, August 17:
Rajkumari Sunita Devi, a member of Manipur Mountaineering & Trekking Association (MMTA) and a Junior Scientist in Forest and Ecology Division of Manipur Remote Sensing Application Centre has been conferred Map Asia, 2007 award at Kaulumpur, Malaysia for her presentation on 'Catchmentrs characterisation of Loktak Lake using remote sensing & GIS on January 16 this year.
The award was presented to her by Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Malaysia.
She is the first lady from India who received the award of Map Asia for best presentation, according to a statement issued by MMTA general secretary Dr L Surjit Singh today.
