Imphal, August 17:
Stating that the KLA/KLO is a defence organisation for defence of innocent civil population and their land, the outfit has clarified that it does not stand against any organisation or the Government.
As such, other organisations need not interfere in the internal affairs of the KLA/KLO, it asserted in a press release issued by its Information and Publicity Secretary Addie Kuki.
It informed that KLA under the leadership of late Letkholun Khongsai had been a non-communal organisation.
But following the coup staged by late Paolen alias Thunder, who was under suspension then, in which some KLA cadres including his boss Letkholun Khongsai were killed, Paolen alias Thunder together with some of his accomplices was making the KLA a communal militant organisation.
Close observation revealed that Thunder was recruiting cadres from his own clan against the ideology, aims and objects of the KLA, said Addie Kuki.
Consequently, Thunder and his accomplices were awarded fitting punishment by those non-communal comrades of the outfit and those newly recruited cadres under Thunder were sent home for good, it informed while warning that any individual or party found using the name of KLA without proper authorisation will be given fitting punishment.
It further cautioned that anyone including Government forces trying to attack KLA defence forces will be construed as attempts to victimise innocent people and to grab their land.
The KLA declared that it will continue defending the people and their land as long as the anti-social forces are active.
