Imphal, November 07:
Reacting to the news item which appeared in the November 7 issue of this paper under the caption, Army fails to submit reports of seized weapons to police, the Army authorities have today clarified that the ruling of the Supreme Court is in the context of cases involving litigation and pertains to the articles that are seized, where an FIR has to be lodged with the police authorities.
Quoting Army authorities, PIB Defence Wing in a statement said that the Army has always been prompt in lodging FIR in all such cases of seizure of any arms, ammunition or any other article from any person.
