Imphal, December 15 2008:
District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum penalised Rajdhani Auto Spares, Thangal Bazar for altering price tag.
According to a press release of Consumers' Club Imphal, one Oinam David Singh of Sagoltongba Makha Leikai lodged a complaint to the Club saying that the auto spare shop had charged Rs 200 instead of the original company price tag of Rs 85 while buying a spare part of his power tiller.
The Club then filed a case at District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum representing the complainant.
The Forum then asked the shop to refund the extra amount and fined Rs 500 as compensation to David.
