Organising such book fairs would help not only in increasing knowledge but also in instilling the habit of reading books among the people.
So instead of organising only one book fair, two book fairs should be organised in a year, the Minister proposed.

He further informed that pressures are also being exerted on the Government for proper implementation of the Manipur Library Bill which had been enacted as an Act in 1993.Once the Act is implemented, the State Central Library could be upgraded as a separate department, he added.
