Imphal, May 08:
The United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) has banned the election of the Haokip Phungpi Students' Organisation scheduled to be held on May 12 at Kuki Inn, Imphal.
Informing this in a statement, secretary of information and publicity of the outfit Th Jamesbond Haokip said UKLF stand for unification of Kukis and the proposed election is based on the interest of some individuals who like to pursue the divide and rule policy among the scattered Kuki communities.
So it would bring disunity among the Kukis.
Anybody who defy the ban shall bear all the consequences, if the election is held, Jamesbond warned, and asked the organising committee to stop the election preparation at once.
