Imphal, February 27:
Zeliangrong Youth Front (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland) has asserted that the demand for resignation of SCERT Minister Z Mangaibou on text books imbroglio being raised by All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) is illogical and questioned whether resignation of the Minister should mend the alleged errors found in the text books.
The Minister should not be blamed and held responsible for the errors found in the text books since the errors/mistakes are the making of the authors to who the task have been assigned, Front president Poujeng Kamei contended in a statement, suggesting that if the demand is raised for correction of the errors, then it would be more sensible on the part of AMSU to approach the Government for appointing capable, efficient and more experiences persons for the job.
It also lashed out at AMSU for allegedly encouraging school going children to stage sit-in-protest and thereby wasting precious time for attending classes.
