Imphal, March 04:
Taking strong exception of NCP's Central High Command dissolving the existing office bearers of the party's Manipur unit, the State executive members, frontal chiefs and district/kendra committees have resolved to dismantle NCP Manipur unit at a meeting held yesterday, said a statement issued by its vice-president A Tondon.
It further contended that dissolution of existing office bearers by the central leaders is against NCP constitution and is humiliation to the State party leaders.
On the otherhand, newly elected NCP president Radhabinod Koijam described Tondon's assertion as baseless and concocted.
Talking to The Sangai Express from New Delhi, the former Chief Minister clarified that previous executive body of which Tondon was the vice president is more relevant as a new executive body had been constituted in which Tondon do not figure.
In case Tondon as a primary member of the NCP, manipur Pradesh had made the comment disciplinary action for being anti-party cannot be ruled out, cautioned Radhabinod.
