CM boost to contract employees

Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh has asserted that the SPF Government is seriously considering regularisation of medical personnel who are employed on contract basis in the implementation of various health care schemes in the State under the UPA Government's flagship programme the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) .
Addressing Seva Dal cadres at a session organised by Manipur Pradesh Seva Dal on 'flagship programmes' of the Government, he said as objective of the NRHM is to ensure overall wellbeing of the citizens it is equally important that morale and spirit of medical personnel engaged in the implementation of the Mission should be boosted.
To ensure that aim of the Mission is sustained and the personnel work diligently, the SPF Government is determined to regularise service of doctors, para-medical staff and all other personnel associated with the NRHM.
Elaborating on the Centre's vision for the upcoming generation to be class XII passed at the least under the Right to Education Act, the CM announced that teachers to be recruited for extensive implementation of SSA and RAMSA educational programmes in the State would be regular post.
He also called upon the Congress worker to monitor whether funds provided by the Centre for execution of various flagship programmes are being utilised in a proper manner as these schemes were launched to benefit the masses.
Acknowledging contribution of Seva Dal workers in sustaining and promotion the Government's welfare programmes, Ibobi confided that maximum efforts are being made to boost morale of all the party workers.
In his address, MPCC president Gaikhangam exhorted Congress workers to spread awareness at the grassroots level with regard to introduction of numerous flagship programmes and the political organisation that had initiated or is spearheading such noble initiatives.
Other highlight of the session included elucidation by various resource persons on the flagship programmes.
The gathering also observed a minute's silence to mourn the untimely demise of Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu.
