Self-styled Lt Col Hopeson Ningshen of NSCN (I-M) and his accomplices against whom the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) of Ukhrul had issued summon notices to appear before the Court today failed to turn up.
On November 3, CJM Ukhrul had issued summon notices to Hopeson Ningshen, who is presently lodged in Tihar Jail, New Delhi after being arrested by the CBI and his three other accomplices to appear before the court in connection with their involvement in killing then Kasom Khullen SDO Dr Thingnam Kishan, driver Aribam Rajen and the Revenue Mandal.
However, Hopeson, who is the main accused in the case and his other accomplices did not turn up, according to information received by the press.
Subsequently, CJM, Ukhrul has issued yet another summon notice directing Hopeson Ningshen for appearance before the court on January 15 next year, the source added.
The source further informed that officials of the CBI which is investigating into the case attended the hearing of the case today.
But they could not produce Hopeson Ningshen.
At the request of the CBI, the court has fixed January 15 nest year as the next date of hearing of the case.
On the other hand, the same court has ordered that arrest warrants be issued against three accomplices of Hopeson identified as RI Yurhor alias Abo Shibo of Tuinem, Ukhrul, Johnny of Kamjong and SK Themhorshang alias Themshang of Apong.
It may be recalled here that Dr Kishan, Rajen and Token have been abducted by armed cadres of NSCN (I-M) from near the Hundung Naga Gate, Ukhrul district headquarters on February 13 this year but were found brutally murdered at Taphou Kuki Village in Senapati district, four days after in evening of February 16 .
