The State Government has instructed all the Deputy Commissioners and ADCs to pull up all elements disturbing or creating trouble during the HSLC Examination 2007 conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur.
The instruction to this effect came after ANSAM imposed a ban on the conduct of HSLC exams in the four Naga dominated hill districts.
Meanwhile, the office of ZEO Senapati was vandalised by some miscreants yesterday night.
However, no complaint has been lodged with the State police concerning the incident as yet, informed a police source.
On the other hand, there has been no report of any untoward incident on the first day of Class XI and XII exams which commenced today.
As a precautionary measure, security personnel were deployed at all exam centres, added the source.
Two HSLC exam centres in Ukhrul district have been clubbed into one.
HSLC Exam 2007 is commencing on March 12.Moreover, in view of the ban imposed by ANSAM, the State Police have taken up adequate security measures in all the exam centres of Chandel, Senapati, Ukhrul and Tamenglong districts, mentioned the source.
