After the success of the first phase, the second phase of the public information campaign on Bharat Nirman and other developmental schemes which have been dubbed as the flagship programmes of India Government would be launched over the next two weeks at Tamenglong and Kakching.
Announcing this during a press conference here today, Media and Communication Officer of Press Information Bureau, Imphal Loitam Premlata Devi informed that after the success of the first phase of the campaign launched at Malom in Imphal West district, the Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry has directed for launching similar campaign at Tamenglong and Kakching.
Accordingly, the campaign would be launched at the hall of United Baptist Church at Tamenglong on March 13 and 14.The campaign would cover National Rural Health Mission, Serva Shiksha Abhiyan, National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and Rural Drinking Water, etc which are in the packages of Bharat Nirman, she said.
Though the campaign is to be launched by the PIB, Imphal under the overall supervision of Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry, Song and Drama Division; NYK, Tamenglong; AIR; Doordarshan; Directorate of Field Publicity; Government Departments, NGOs, Churches, Village authorities of Tamenglong would also be extending their co-operation during the campaign, she said.
At Kakching, the campaign would be launched at the Composite Hall from March 17 to 19 and it would cover Rural Electrification, Rural Telephony, Rural Road Connectivity, Rural Drinking Water, etc over and above RTI Act, SSA and National Rural Health Mission.
Setting up of exhibition stalls, interaction with resource persons and experts, State level open spot painting competition, etc would be organised as part of the campaign at Kakching.
