Seven persons including an eight-year old boy received injuries when unknown persons threw a hand grenade inside the shop of Air Transport corporation (ATC) at the approach road to Majorkhul, MG Avenue today around 8.30 am, according to a source.
Those injured were identified as NK Shukia, Thangal Bazar (26) staff of the shop Md.Sanatomba (27) Hatta Golapati, rickshaw puller, Mutum Rajen (44) Uripok Laikhurembi sweeper of IMC, Md Maniruddin (48) Kwakta Thinge leikai at present Golapati, Rohan Sharma (8) Md.Avenue, Narendrajit (24) and Bocha (22) of Bihar at present Nagamapal.
Following the incident, a search operation was conduced in around the area however no arrests were made in this connection, adds the source.
Meanwhile, a bomb planted by some unknown persons in between Tuijang and Wapokpi was defused blasted by Manipur Police Bomb Expert team today around 9.30 am.
The bomb was found by 133rd CRPF and later it was informed to police.
Meanwhile three CRPF personnel were injured in a blast at 6 pm at Trongolaobi.
