The CM O Ibobi said, government is trying to frame laws for using agricultural lands properly and to prevent such lands being used in others lines.
The CM was speaking while opening a soil testing laboratory at Wangbal-Khangabok today.
As we have some agriculture lands we have to depend on other states for essential commodities and other vegetables.
So we have to take up such preventive measures.
We should not build houses on agricultural.
The CM informed the gathering that the newly opened laboratory will provide many facilities to farmers who can test their products.
Any organization or individual should not give hindrance when the government is taking up welfare programmes for the fanners.
Presiding over the function, the agriculture minister K Ranjit said, the soil testing laboratory, Mantripukhi be came functional since February 2003 after a long time.
Such laboratories will be opened in other districts too plant health clinic center will be opened at agriculture directorate besides the set up of Kisan call centre.
Farmers may get benefit e.g, tractors, power tillers, water pump sets at a reduced rate from the said centre.
