Class XII toppers share their dreams

Higher Secondary Examination 2011 Science stream topper Heigrujam Prasanjit is aiming to join the civil service after completing his studies.
Prasanjit is the third son of Vigilance Inspector H Nabakumar and PWD clerk Pangambam Ibemnu.
He scored a total mark of 479 including letter marks on English, Alternative English, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science and Mathematics.
Prasanjit is a student of Human Resource Development Academy, Ghari.
He was ranked at 7th position in the HSLC Exam.
Rejoicing at the outstanding success of his son Ibemnu informed The Sangai Express that it was Prasanjit's father who took the main responsibility of looking after the needs of their son including the daily task of taking to and bringing back Prasanjit from tuition centres.
Nabakumar and Ibemnu said that they would give all the support needed by their in pursuing further studies in the line he chooses.
Prasanjit said that he would do further study in a college at Delhi and prepare for civil services examination.
Regarding his choice for Delhi, the topper said that it would be more competitive and he would get better educational facilities there.

He emphatically stated that law and order situation should not affect education sector.
On school going days, Prasanjit went for private tuition twice in a day.
On off days, he went for private tuition thrice in a day for different subjects.
In free time, he used to play table tennis and badminton.
Students cannot neglect study: Vijiya
Even though frequent bandhs, strikes, blockades and other disturbances resulting from the volatile law and order situation of the State have been seriously jeopardising academic atmosphere, students cannot afford to neglect their study.
This was stated by Vijiya Sanasam, the topper in Arts stream of the Higher Secondary Examination 2011 .
She is the youngest of the six siblings born to Sanasam Leimaton of New Checkon and late Biramohon.
Leimaton met the expenses for education of her children from the monthly pension of her late husband.
Of the five siblings of Vijiya, only one is male.
He is currently doing MBBS.
Leimaton said that she is illiterate and cannot read a single word.
Nevertheless, Vijiya scored letter marks in English, Alternative, Political Science, Education and Home Science.
She is a student of TG Hr Sec School.
Like Prasanjit, Vijiya said that she would join civil services after studying further in general line.
Saying that she did not set any definite target, Vijiya informed that the marks she got was not less that what she expected.
For her stupendous success, she gave credit to her family, teachers and herself.
"Despite all the disturbances in the form of bandhs, strikes, blockades etc, I laboured hard consistently at home", Vijiya said.
"At free time, I used to listen to entertaining music and watched television", she added.
Commerce topper to go for business or Charter Accountancy
Unlike her counterparts who topped in Science and Arts and Science streams, Commerce stream topper Mebidita Chirom has opted to go business or Charter Accountancy.
Mebidita is the first daughter of Chirom Sarat and Chirom Lata of Sagolband Yengkhom Leirak.
She is a student of Sree Digambar Jain Hr Sec School.
She scored 368 marks out of 500 including letter marks in Accounts and Alternative English.
Overjoyed with her own outstanding success, Mebidita said that the credit should go to her parents, teachers and the almighty god.
She said that she would study BCom outside the State.
