Imphal, May 29 2011:
MPP president Dr Nimaichand Luwang today criticised CM O Ibobi for his failure to prevent Nagaland's CM entering Manipur saying that the CM had no guts to thwart Rio's plans.
Addressing a MPP conference at Saiton bazar today, Dr Nimaichand said that the CM was unable to implement the resolution passed by a meeting of the all political parties convened by him.
The CM has cheated all political parties, Nimaichand said claiming that the meeting called by the CM had endorsed to implement the resolution adopted to oppose the launching of the NPF unit in Senapati.
Luwang said, the CM could not translate the resolution into action.
If the CM had guts he could have prevented the Nagaland CM from attending the launching of NPF unit at Senapati.
He would have promulgated a curfew in Senapati district HQ, if he was committed to implement the decision of the all political party meet, Nimaichand asserted.
He was also puzzled why he was not invited to the function being the president of the MPP.
The president pointing out the failures of the Congress led SPF government, said that the misery suffered by the people of the state was due to the outcome of the ineffective rule of the Ibobi led government.
He said, corruption level has reached its peak.
The educated unemployed youth with no money to bribe ministers, MLAs and top bureaucrats cannot get government jobs.
The prices of essential commodities have also sky rocketed, and the government is doing nothing to control these problems.
Nimaichand said, as for the MPP, it is committed to defeat the Congress in the forthcoming general election to the state Assembly and for this, the party has already decided for a pre-poll alliance with like-minded political parties to fight against the Congress.
Former minister L Jatra who also attended the party conference asserted that under the Congress rule, poor people are becoming poorer and the rich are getting richer.
The Congress party is a killer parasite for the poor people, he observed.
Other leaders of MPP, general secretary N Sanajaoba, vice president Y Mangi, general secretary Robin, treasurer Umananda and youth front president, M Maniton were among others who attended the conference and talked on the motto and objectives of the party.
