With the identification of one more among the six killed by the combined force at Awang Khunou on September 8 night, family has claimed that he was called out from home by slain Md Tomba who came with another youth.
The slain youth identified today was Akoijam Oken (38) son of late Babudon of Langol housing Complex Type-III.
Wife of the slain Oken named Tombi related the killing of her husband with a matter of buying and selling of a Tata Sumo (MN06L-1676).Tombi said her husband Oken bought the vehicle from one Leishangthem Joy (55) son of L Birmangol of Konthoujam Makha Leikai some time back at a negotiated amount of Rs 1.60 lakh.
The handing and taking over the vehicle was done without completely paying the amount as Joy insisted to pay some Rs 80,000 first as he needed the money for treatment of his daughter.
But after one trip to Moreh, the vehicle developed mechanical defect which they later talked of returning the same by Joy.
Oken signed an agreement with Joy to refund the money.
In the meantime, on September 8 at about 4.30 pm Oken was called out by one Oknam Dharmendro (35) son of Gouro and Md Tomba (who was among the slain six) at the house of sister of Joy at Yurembam Mayai Leikai.
Before going out Oken told his wife that Dharmendro is the son of sister's of Joy and they are going to his house for a talk on the matter related with the vehicle.
Anguish locals of Langol area today went to the house of Joy at Konthoujam to the truth behind the killing of Oken.
Patsoi police blocked them on the way but after police were convinced the people proceeded to the house of Joy along with the police.
During the meeting with the family of Joy, Shabitri wife of Joy informed that on the night of September 8, some unknown persons came to their house on an auto-rickshaw and asked for Joy to have a talked but Joy was not at home.
After then they left the house after firing some rounds of guns.
After hearing words of both side, police has called up the family of Joy and slain Oken to come to the Patsoi police at 8 am along with the pradhan and meira paibis of the respective area and hold further talks.
