Imphal, October 10 2009:
The Imphal West district police commandos nabbed two activists of Kuki Liberation Army (KLA) today around 5.30am near ABC godown, Thangmeiband, a statement issued by the SSP of Imphal West, L Kailun claimed.
The two activists have been identified as s/s 2nd Lt Adaho Alison Kamei (35), son of Aguishing Kamei of Langol Tarung village, and Naorem Suraj alias Kiran (36), son of N Sanatombi of Thangmeiband Yumnam Leikai.
The SSP stated Adaho Alison Kamei as disclosing that he joined the NSCN (K) in 1992 through s/s Maj Yankong and got military training at Chummu in Burma.
He deserted the NSCN (K) in 2006 and joined the KLA.
N Suraj was said to have disclosed that he joined the KLA through Adaho Alison in Jaunary this year.
One demand letter of the KLA signed by Tiger Kuki of the outfit's finance department was seized from the person of Adaho, it added.
