Even as an educational programme on wildlife protection was held at Moreh yesterday, a poster campaign to protect Amur Falcons has kick started at Tamenglong.
Wildlife Wing of State Forest Department conducted the educational programme under the theme, 'Forest and Wildlife' at Eastern Shine School, Moreh.
DFO (Park and Sanctuary) L Joykumar attended the function as the chief guest and Eastern Shine School Headmaster K Shyamo as the president.
Environmentalists Dr Kh Shamungou and K Jugeshwar spoke at the function as resource persons.
Meanwhile, with Tamenglong witnessing arrival of Amur Falcons, DFO Huri Golmei launched a poster campaign in the district to protect the migratory birds coming from Australia, Siberia and China.
Tamenglong CMO Dr Chambo Gonmei, TAMBAK Director Nehemiah Panmei and Range Officer Kh Hitler and Md Bani attended the launching function.
