Irate university students stormed the block at around 12.30 pm.
In a bid to stop them from entering the block, security guards manning the university downed the entrance shutter of the block office.
In retaliation, the agitating students smashed glass panes of the Cash Counter of the block.
A fierce altercation erupted between the security guards and students after the latter tried to storm the shutter of the block office building.
Out of a sudden, some students started breaking flower pots kept at the entrance gate of the office and CCTV cameras installed at the entrance of the office.
They also attacked office of Vice-Chairman of the university located at the Administrative Block with stones which resulted in breakage of its glass panes.

Alleging that the university authorities have failed to furnish details of the report on the seat break up process submitted to the Secretary of Governor by Prof N Lokendro, Registrar of the university on July 23 last, he cautioned that students would continue with its different forms of agitation till the seat break up process is reviewed by the university authorities.
