The proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) and its armed wing, the PLA have conveyed its greeting to Muslim brethren on the occasion of the community's most significant festival, Id-ul-fitr, which falls on September 21. In a greeting message, the RPF's publicity secretary, T Leisemba stated that the divide and rule policy of India has sowed the seeds of distrust and enmity against each other communities of the state, and its vices.
Had the policy not been applied, all communities of the state may respect and love each others.
Stating that the RPF has always shown respect and held in high esteem to all communities living in the state and their respective traditions, T Leishemba appealed all Muslim brethren to pray to Allah for peaceful coexistence of all communities and for making Manipur free from all vices.
