The Kanglei Khotjei Kon while taking serious note on the report of encroaching Manipur territory by the Nagaland at Jessami area asked the state government to look into the matter and take up necessary action immediately.
Governance should keep the promise they kept at the time of elections to protect the territorial boundary of the state and should take up steps to relief the grievances facing by villagers at the border with Nagaland, a statement of the body signed by Khunai Lembi Chanu Laishramcha, vice-president of the Kanglei Khorjei Kon (KKK) put down.
The encroachment taking place at the Manipur-Nagaland border from the Nagaland side and constructing rest house and growing crops in state's land by opening police outpost is part of repeated attempt to disintegrate the territorial boundary of the NSCN(IM) and Nagaland government, the statement went on to state.
The villagers of Jesami villages located 169 km from Imphal at border with Nagaland state have been looking down by the villagers of Nagaland at many instants.
Despite all these, Manipur government is treating the villagers of Jessami like sons of step-mother.
