Imphal, January 11 2010:
Manipur Government Aided Schools' Employees Co-Ordinating Committee submitted a memorandum to Education Minister highlighting various grievances of the Government aided schools of the State.
The memorandum pleaded the Minister to immediately intervene and pass necessary orders to the effect that all resultant vacancies in the aided schools be allowed to fill up irrespective of whether the schools come within the 171-group or not.
The memorandum said that problems cropped up as many of the approved staff have come to their superannuation and expired during their service.
Though there is rules for pension benefit for aided schools, no retired or expired staff could get the benefit, the memorandum complained.
Maintaining that the most important problem is the ban imposed on the recruitment/appointment of staff against the vacancy caused by the retired/expired staff, the memorandum demanded for complete lifting of this ban.
