Drive against illegal migrants spreads to CCpur

Churachandpur Police today conducted drive to detect illegal migrants from Bangladesh and Myanmar neighbouring countries in different parts of Churachandpur district.
Led by an officer, personnel of Churachandpur District Police conducted the drive from in Zenhang Lamka and New Bazaar areas.
No one, however, has been detection in the drive.
The drive was conducted acting on the instruction of state Home Department.
Talking to Hueiyen Lanpao on condition of anonymity, an official informed that some of the illegal migrants have been able to lay hands on the Electoral Identity Card issued by the Election Commission of India.
Meanwhile, Henglep Sub-division Chiefs' Association (HSDCA) and its sub-branches of Thangting Part-II and II, Leimatak Area, Tuila Area, Henglep HQ Area, Saichang Area and Chongkhozou Area have strongly condemned the brutal killing of S.Nabil village Chief Hemkhothang Haokip s/o (L) Nehkhomang Haokip of Henglep Sub-division, Churachandpur district by unknown armed persons on the night of September 7,2012 .
While demanding arrest of the killers, the Chiefs' Association has also urged authority concerned for apprehending the three accused persons who have been named in the FIR No.43(5) 2012 CCP U/S 389/34 IPC.
