The bandh will begin from midnight of September 12 .
Announcing the bandh today at the official residence of Saikul MLA Yamthong Haokip at Babupara, Secretary of Phowaibi Area Vaiphei Chiefs' Association, Thangboi Vaiphei said the total bandh is endorsed by Kuki Inpi, Sadar Hills; KSO, TSA, COPTAM; Saikul Area Naga People Organisation and Vaiphei Chiefs' Association.
He said four polling stations of Bongbal Khullen DCC were included in Wangkhem Zilla Parishad and Leirangthel GP in Thoubal district.
Thangboi said the four villages are under Bongbal Khullen DCC in Sadar Hills ADC.
A memorandum has been submitted to the RD and PR Minister and other authority to exclude the four polling stations in the GP and ZP elections.
But no positive response has been received.
Meanwhile, the Saikul Area Naga People Organisation has registered strong opposition to the inclusion of 9 Naga villages in the Panchayat election.
Stating that it is deadly against the inclusion of the villages in the panchayat election, a statement issued by the SANPO has urged the concerned authority to immediately cancel the election process so as to bring justice and meet the wishes and desires of the villages.
