A file from the Manipur treasury office with government bills including that of TA bill of the state Chief Minister, O Ibobi has been forcibly taken away by around nine to ten persons, members of the striking employees body, an official source said today.
Imphal police station has registered an FIR case after the matter of snatching of the file after an official of the treasury office in Imphal lodged a complaint.
According to the complaint note the incident took place Friday afternoon at around 2.30 pm.
Around nine to ten persons said to be members of the striking JAC intruded into the office of the treasure and forcibly collected the file which put up for passing and ecashment from the office and left the place quickly, the source said as stated in the complaint note.
Employees of the Manipur government under the banner of the Joint Administrative Council (JAC) of the All Manipur Government Employees Union (AMGEO) and All Manipur Trade Union Congress(AMTUC) have been continuing cease work strike since November 27 last year demanding implementation of the recommendation of the Sixth Pay Commission.
Seventy-three day had entered today but there is no sign of bringing an end to the cease work strike as the both sides remaining sticking to their stands.
