Imphal, June 14 2009:
American born revolutionist, Ernesto Che Guevara who believed on the ideology of revolutionaries leading a simple without building up an environment of capitalists was remembered today on his 81th birth anniversary with a function organized by the Janeta Irawat Charitable Trust.
The trust organized the anniversary function at two places to mark the remembrance of the great revolutionary who was born on this day in 1928.One of the functions was held at Janeta Irawat People's Museum located at Sanjenbam Lokchao in Imphal east district.
Offering of floral tribute to the portrait of the famous revolutionary by the gethrring people and planting of trees inside the museum complex marked the observation function.
President of the trust L Sotinkumar and state secretary of Forward Block, S Gyneshwor attended the function as chief guest and president respectively.
The other function was held at the Eco Gren Park of the Ishikha Model Village.
Opening of a body building gym club and planting of trees marked the function.
A revolutionary salute was also given to the great revolutionary as a mark of respect.
Speakers remembered the ideology of the revolutionary on the occasion.
