They appealed to the residents of Kakhulong and other localities on both sides of the Nambul river not to throw garabages on the river bank, instead hand over the same to CRED.
Councilor Kalanchonglu also warned the residents of the localities to impose fine if anybody is found throwing garabages at improper places.
With regard to the cleaning of Nambul river, representatives of CRED said, saving Nambul river is a prerequisite to saving Loktak Lake.
So, residents of both sides of the Nambul river need to avoid dumping of garabages into the river.
