Representatives of Khumbong Students' Club alleged that some students of Jawaharlal Nehru Vidyalaya Khumbong are projecting a wrong image of the club to the people through media.
The club demanded that the concerned students should come to the club within December 20 and make clarifications.
In a press conference held today at Students' Club Khumbong in relation to the above allegation, the general secretary of the club K Bhopendra said that at around 1 pm on December 5 three students of class 12 commerce of the Vidyalaya came out of the campus without permission from school authority.
They were found by the club members drinking at a wine vendor.
Later they were handed over to the school authority after being advised to not repeat such acts by the club members.
He said that in an interaction with press yesterday with some students and their parents, some students said that those three students were intimidated by some unknown people at gun point inside the club.
He said that such false allegations portrayed the club members as well as DESAM members, who were trying to do justice to the case, in the eye of public as armed insurgents.
Bhopendra made it known that the students should clarify who they meant by unknown people.
The students who spoke at the said press conference, the three students who were caught by the club and the parents should come to the club within December 20 and settle the matter, said the club general secretary.
It was also conveyed that the various clubs at Khumbong will get together and launch movement regarding this incident.
He said that if the students and parents do not abide by what the club is saying, the outcome will not be the responsibility of the club.
