The Adhoc Joint Action Committee of the Irrigation and Flood Control Department Employees' Association has decided to file a complaint in the court if the Government fails to disburse the pending monthly pay of the employees of the Department working under various divisions in time.
Talking to mediapersons in this connection at the office chamber of the Association located within the office complex of the Department here this afternoon, Adhoc JAC president Ch Gunindro informed that the monthly salary of more than 1500 regular employees working under 14 divisions of the Department has not been disbursed since July 2008 causing lot of financial difficulties to the employees.
Various written complaint and memorandum have been submitted in this regard to the higher authorities concerned including the Minister, but so far positive response has been given.
So in case the due payment of the employees is not disbursed by February 5, the Adhoc JAC would be compelled to seek legal assistance and file a complaint in the court, Gunindro informed.
Other employees of the Dept who were pre-sent at the occasion also came out strongly against the conduct of the Govt and its related authorities in keeping quiet over the denial of their monthly salary.
