The Rabi crops cultivated by the farmers in Bishnupur with the assistance of United Development Council (UDC), Bishnupur under the patronage of District Agriculture Officer, Bishnupur are ready for reaping the fruit.
Ahead of harvesting the crops, a joint team of the farmers, Agri officials and media persons visited the fields which have been brought under the Rabi crop cultivation today.
Talking to media persons at the occasion, District Agriculture Officer, Bishnupur Salam Thambal Singh said cultivation of Rabi crops spreading over an area of 2500 hectares of land in Keirenphabi, Kumbi, Saiton, etc has been taken up as part of the Centrally sponsored scheme of Oil Seed Development Programme.
Accordingly, among the crops that have been planted special attention has been paid on cultivation of Mustard plants so that Mustard seeds could be reared, and the project has been quite successful.
