Lamka, April 25: The NPP MLA from Singnat AC Hangkhanpao today expressed discontentment over the laxity Joykumar Executive Engineer of NEC has adopted toward his call for discussing various development related works concerning his constituency.

Talking exclusively to selected media representatives today, the former Cabinet Minister alleged that the top bureaucrats of the state including the EE NEC were evading him to discuss the welfare programmes concerning his constituency.

Hangkhanpao currently is engaged in visiting various villages within his constituency and exploring the options he had in order to assist and uplift the masses.

Merely a month after he was elected from Singnat AC Hangkhanpao has vowed to reform the existing educational set-up; have already established a five member education board to monitor the performances of all institutions under the Government and weigh the possibility of upgrading Hill Model High School in Singngat to Hr Sec School.

Last week he has also engaged a retired Catholic priest to identify locations in Muallum, Singngat, Hiangtam V&B, so as to counteract the age old paucity of water with ring and bore wells.

Regarding electricity, the elected representative has claimed that the EE electricity has pledge to speed up the re-electrification process despite the fact that IFC Department has not compensated for the loss it incurred due to Khuga Dam.

Within his capacity the representative has tried his bit to beget a transformation atleast in his constituency, yet, the attitude adopted by some influential officials including Joykumar has derailed his dedication.

And, this incidentally may be the basis for Hangkhanpao saying that the Government and the EE are avoiding him.

He even went on to allege that Joykumar is interested only in secret meeting with contractor and some 'other elements.' Being a top bureaucrat in a democratic set-up he should be accounted to the ruling and the opposition alike, however the approach he has adopted and the reason he has offered to evade an opposition MLA appears to be superfluous.
