Imphal, August 26:
The cross country car rally being taken out in commemoration of 50 years of independence of Malaysia arrived at Imphal today at about 2.30 am.
The rally team was again flagged off for the Myanmar leg from Hotel Imphal by Youth Affairs and Sports Minister N Biren at about 6 am.
The car rally which covers 15 countries is being participated by 50 members in 12 cars under the leadership of the Malaysian Deputy Defence Minister.
The team was seen off with Assam Rifles band party playing different tunes.
A brochure containing information of the State's tourism sector was also presented to the expedition team.
Deputy High Commissioner of the Malaysian High Commission Norlin Binti Othman saw off the team till Moreh.
