A brace each from Pamthing and Hoshana rescued Chadong against Sacred Heart as the former side registered a come from behind win in a high scoring clash in today's first match at the All Tangkhul Football Challenge Trophy at Hungdung Pakshi ground.
In the second match, HPSA beat Star United 4-1.In the 4-3 win margin of Chadong, opponent Sacred Heart took a 2-0 lead at the break with Zanngashung and Magnus striking home in the 13th and 24th minute respectively.
The Chadong revival began with Pamthing's first goal in the 55th who doubled his and the team's score to level at 2-2 five minutes later.
As Hoshana's 68th minute goal surged Chadong ahead Zemseishang restored parity for Sacred heart within two minute only for Hoshana to break the 'heart' with the golden goal (88th).Sacred Heart's Mathew and Alex were booked for unsporting behavior in the match.
The first half resistance of Star United in the second match caved in due to repeated offensive of the HPSA strikers whose Kahangyo broke the stalemate in the 43rd minute.
Even though Star's Malungpham immediately replied with the equalizer in the 44th, HPSA dictated terms for most session and scored goals at regular interval.
Thuingaren (74th), Tungsa (77th) and Amgangayung (85th) converted the team's dominance into goals to collect maximum points from the match.
