It has been confirmed that some MLAs and MPs from Manipur did meet the chairman of the NSCN (IM) Isak Chisi Swu and general secretary Th Muivah, when they visited Nagaland for New Year.
When The Sangai Express contacted NSCN (IM) functionary V Horam today, the IM leader said that some MLAs and MPs from Manipur met the collective leadership of the NSCN (IM) at Hebron and held lengthy discussions.
Horam however refused to divulge the identities of the MLAs and the number of MLAs who met the IM leadership but added that quite a number of political leaders from Arunachal Pradesh also met the IM leaders.
Th Muivah is still at Delhi while Isak Swu has gone back to Europe on some emergency work, informed Horam and added Muivah will return to Nagaland to attend a Naga consultative meeting in the third week of March.
A consultative meeting of the collective leadership of the NSCN (IM) will also be held which will stretch for about a month, further informed Horam and added that the Indian Government has already been informed of the decision of Muivah to visit Nagaland again.
V Horam also said that the peace talk between the IM group and the Government of India is progressing smoothly and positively.
On James Kuki, the prime accused in the murder of Lungnila Elizabeth, Horam said the case is still on and added that he doesn't know where James Kuki is presently.
The accused was released on parole by the IM on Sept 11 last year.
