Imphal, July 28 2009:
State lifter Nepram Kishan wins silver in the 43rd Senior Asian Body Building Championship 2009 which was concluded today in Aurangabad, Maharashtra.
Kishan won the silver in 65 kg category after losing to his Korean rival while the bronze medal went to Japan.
It may be recalled that Nepram Kishan had also won 4th position in the recent World Games held at Kaoshung, Taiwan this month.
He presently serving in the 5th Batallion of Manipur Rifles.
He had also won the Mr Asia (Junior) title in the year 2007 in the same weight category.
He is a resident of Kyamgei Awang Leikai.
Beside him, another state lifter Maibam Shaolin who participate in the championship also won 5th position in 75 kg category.
It may be noted that this championship is the first exposure of Shaolin in the international arena.
Another state lifter who participated the championship representing CRPF, Borun Yumnam also ended up in the second place after losing to his Korean rival.
Former Secretary, AMBA, Thambal Sharma was also honoured with merit certificate in the closing ceremony.
