SEYO win; AMHA holds KHSC draw

SEYO beat KAYT in U-14 girls' category while AMHA and KHSC played a tie in men's open category today as the 1st State Level Men's Open and U-14 Girls' Hockey Tournament, 2010 organised by the Manipur Hockey being held at Hockey Stadium, Khuman Lampak Sports Complex entered fifth days.
In U-14 girls' category, SEYO, Kshetri Leikai beat goalless HAYT, Kshetri Leikai with two goals.
Both teams played the match with full determination to win.
However lack of better coordination among the players of HAYT can be seen in the first half of the match.
Taking full advantage of the situation, SEYO struck two successive goals against HAYT in the 17th and 27th minutes of the match.
Th Suman and Ok Rojita scored the two goals of SEYO.
Later in the match of men's open category, AMHA, Moirang and KHSC, Khongman played a drawn match with scoreline 3-3.Both teams displayed a real tough fight against one another throughout the match.
KHSC drew the first blood through L Purnachandra in the 3rd minute of the match.
On the other hand AMHA was soon enough to notch up the equaliser in the very next minute through Ph Bonpick.
KHSC again took the lead in the 29th minute of the match with a goal of L Heramani.
But it was also equalised by M Amarjit of AMHA just after six minutes.
The last goal of KHSC was also scored by Heramani in the 42nd minute of the match.
Once again AMHA swiftly equalised the score in the 47th minute of the match just after fivt minutes of the last goal of KHSC.
Ph Sanatomba scored the equaliser.
Meanwhile, the remaining matches of the tournament have been postponed indefinitely due to the prevailing situation in the state arised from the visit of Th Muivah, General Secretary, NSCN-IM to his native village Somdal in Ukhrul district.
