Imphal, September 26 2009:
Following the reported assurance by the TD Minister that three months' salaries from March to May this year and 14 percent Dearness Allowance from January 2001 to June 2005 and the remaining pending salaries would be released at the earliest, the Six Hill District Council Teachers' Association has resolved to relax its hunger strike as well as closure of District Council institutions and administrative offices/ADCs up to October 15 .
Saying that the cease work stir would continue as usual, a press release said, the association would intensify agitation if Government fails to fulfil demands.
