Imphal, September 30:
Timely medical aid provided to a snake bite victim by the Medical Officer of 22 Maratha Light Infantry of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) saved the life a two year old local boy identified as Konthoujam Ashish, s/o K Ratan Kumar of Konthoujam Lairembi Leikai, said Col LM Pant, PRO HQ IGAR (South) in a release.
The child was bitten by snake and was showing strong symptoms of snake poisoning.
Two vials of anti snake venom were administered.
The child was further referred to Shija hospital for treatment after his condition stabilized.
