Imphal, September 11, 2012:
The Chandel Naga Peoples' Organisation (CNPO) has appreciated the joint statement of three Kuki outfits, UKLF, ZDV and KRA (U) urging to discontinue the observance of Black Day on the ground that it only brings negative impact than doing good.
A statement of CNPO signed by its information and publicity secretary, Rd Dalrung said that it is of the opinion that peace and harmony which is highly required within the tribal community will come about only through forgive and forget spirit.
As human beings, one's resentment over violence is natural.
Yet champions are ultimately the ones who hold high the great weapon of the Lord, said the CNPO statement.
The great spirit showed this time at this critical juncture will go a long way in bringing about closeness and oneness which everyone is aspiring, it added.
