Imphal, August 21 2009:
Manipur University Tribal Students' Union (MUTSU) has urged the MU authority to extend the date of admission to 1st Semester in MA/MCom/M Sc/M Lib etc as students coming from the hill areas missed the deadline due to bandh/strikes and curfew.
A statement issued by MUTSU president Pamei Tingenlung said the students from far flung areas, who have been already selected, have to lose their seats if the university authority did not extend the admission date.
The statement also pointed out the non-uniformity in the admission process.
It stated that while some departments closed admission the other departments are still conducting the entrance test.
The MUTSU also pointed out that the WiFi in the university campus has been not delivering its purpose.
It further urged the authority to ensure quality in construction of works.
