Imphal, March 06, 2010:
First border liaison officers' meeting between India and Myanmar on bilateral cooperation to check cross border crimes and other issues was held at Tamu, Myanmar yesterday.
The Indian delegate led by Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Naveen Verma also included State Home Commissioner V Vumlumang.
The Myanmarese delegate was led by Deputy Director General Oo Khin Muang Thin.
The meeting was held after Home Secretary GK Pillai's visit to Yangon recently.
The meeting held at Tamu on transnational crime agreed on sharing information about criminal elements operating on either side of the international boundary.
